Flint and Moxie ^ Cupertino dog photography

October 4th, 2011

I’m such a lucky girl to be able to pet sit for the best dogs and cats in the Bay Area.  (Totally unbiased, here.)  Flint and Moxie are two of my pet sitting clients with Sit.Stay.Woof, and I was totally psyched when their Mom asked me to photograph her two pups.  And not in small part because it meant a fun afternoon of hanging out with them between holiday seasons.

After all, who wouldn’t love to spend more time with this handsome boy:

and this spunky gal?

Most of the day was about Moxie, who at 9 months old has already learned how to charm her way into everyone’s heart.  She’s all go and play and fetch and zoom around, and she absolutely loves her box(es) of toys.

As well as the occasional unconventional toy as well.  In this case, rocks.  As I discovered the first time I pet-sat with Moxie, she has a certain thing for rocks.  Including hauling all of them inside for a secret stash in her crate.

She may be small at 4 pounds, but Moxie is all energy and go.  It wasn’t long at the park before she’d run through every muddy patch digging up clods of grass and soil.

Even with the grass ‘stache, I think she’s pretty darn adorable.  And I’m sure she would agree.  Thank you, Therese, for having me over to photograph Flint and Moxie.  They’re both such wonderful, loving, and well-loved dogs.  It’s always a pleasure spending time with them.  I hope you enjoy their gallery, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at their viewing session!

Mutt Strutt 2011 ^ Coyote Point Park, San Mateo

September 8th, 2011

I feel so blessed to have lucked out and picked Mutt Strutt 2011 as my first vendor experience.  It was a busy morning filled with wonderful dogs and their animal-loving, generous-hearted people.

Sadly, in the blur of the day, I forget many of the pups’ names, but I definitely remember their faces!  This is the first dog who stopped by.  I just love his fur.

From there, the morning was a kaleidoscope of doggy faces:

One very important lesson I learned that morning is to keep my bags and personal belongings well away from the front table legs.  This pup, below, doused my “doggy provisions bag,” the tent cover, and narrowly missed my camera bag.  Lots of pee for such a small pup!

By the end of the morning, dogs were starting to trickle out, and this was the last pup I snapped as we were packing up:

Mutt Strutt 2011 Preview

August 21st, 2011

I had a blast at Mutt Strutt 2011.  It was such a great morning, filled with gorgeous, wonderful pooches, and amazing, generous, friendly people, all there to support Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA.  By the time we got home at 3 PM I had taken over 900 shots with my camera, and I was ready to take a loooooong nap.

And since no post is complete without pictures, here are just two of the faces I met yesterday morning.  A more complete blog post, the raffle winner, and a link to the full Mutt Strutt gallery will all be coming soon!
